The Smith & Nephew Allevyn™ Gentle Border Sacrum Dressing is designed for the management of exuding, granulating wounds on the sacrum by secondary intent. It is an adhesive, hydrocellular dressing that should be applied to clean, prepared skin surrounding the wound.
Features
- Indicated for management of exuding, granulating wounds on the sacrum
- Adhesive, hydrocellular dressing
- Application involves removing protector material and anchoring adhesive side to skin
- Narrow end of dressing should be placed a minimum of ¾" above the anal sphincter
- Should not be used with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide
